Counterbalance reviewed the existing layout and made improvements to make better use of the existing space and increase the value of the property. This entailed adjusting the internal layout to add an additional bedroom and en-suite to the property.
The proposal introduces a hallway to the center of the property which improves the efficiency of the layout and the ability to add additional rooms. Creating a larger master bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a new ensuite to the rear of the property opening out on the beautiful south-facing garden. An additional bedroom is also added to the rear with access to the garden. Along with relocating the kitchen to create a better kitchen/dining room experience.
This work did not require planning permission but required a few structural interventions to open the plan and give a better flow to the layout. Counterbalance has managed the tender process along with acting as the main contractor organsing all the different trades, materials and budget. The internals of the project completed at the end of 2023 with the garden and outbuildings being restored in 2024.
